We are pleased to announce that Dr. Hiren H. Patel has joined the Case Western Reserve University Department of Physics faculty as Lecturer of Physics. Dr. Patel is a theoretical physicist in the area of particle physics, particle astrophysics, and cosmology.

After obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. Patel was appointed as a postdoctoral fellow at Max-Planck Institut fuer Kernphysik, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and University of California Santa Cruz, where he also served as project scientist. He has authored 30 research articles in high energy theoretical physics spanning the fields of nuclear physics, particle physics and cosmology, with focus on precision phenomenology. 

Dr. Patel serves as primary instructor for PHYS 121 General Physics | Mechanics this semester. We are grateful he joins us as a passionate educator, keen on training next generation researchers.
