Dr. Mhlambululi Mafu, Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Mhlambululi Mafu has joined the CWRU Department of Physics as a Visiting Assistant Professor.

Dr. Mafu obtained his Ph.D. in Physics, specializing in quantum science and technology, from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2014. Also, he holds an MSc in Physics and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Physics. Besides Physics, he has gained a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property from Africa University and a Master in Business Analytics from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Before joining CWRU, he was a Senior Lecturer at Botswana International University of Science and Technology in Botswana. His research interests are in Quantum Communication, Quantum Computing, Data Science, and Physics Education Research. 

This semester, Dr. Mafu is teaching PHYS 121 General Physics I: Mechanics.
