Prof. Claudia de Rham, Imperial College, London, returns to CWRU sharing insights from ‘The Beauty of Falling: A Life in Pursuit of Gravity’

World renowned physicist and author Claudia de Rham, Professor of Theoretical Physics at Imperial College, London, and Adjunct Professor of Physics at Case Western Reserve University, will be on campus this week for a public lecture and book signing on Friday April 18 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. The event is at the Tinkham Veale Center in the Senior Class Conference room and is free and open to the public.
 
Professor de Rham will share insights from her book The Beauty of Falling: A Life in Pursuit of Gravity (Princeton University Press 2024) in a lecture titled The Secrets of Gravity, to be followed by a conversation with Johanna Nagy, Warren Rupp Assistant Professor of Physics at Case Western Reserve University, followed by audience Q&A and a book signing organized by Loganberry books on Larchmere. 
 
Professor de Rham will also give the Gundzik colloquium in the department of Physics on Thursday April 17 from 4 pm to 5 pm in Rockefeller. The title of her lecture is How do we communicate with the Universe?Â
