2024 Michelson Postdoctoral Prize

Nominations are invited for the 26th Annual MICHELSON POSTDOCTORAL PRIZE LECTURESHIP, to be held Spring 2025, in the Department of Physics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. This prize will be awarded to a junior scholar active in any field of physics. The winner will spend one week in residence at Case Western and deliver 2 technical lectures and a colloquium. 

The lectureship carries an honorarium of $3,000 in addition to travel expenses. 
 
Eligibility: Nominees must have been awarded a Ph.D. between 8/31/2016 and 8/31/2024 and as of 12/1/2024 may not hold any tenured, tenure-track or equivalent position. Applications must be submitted to Academic Jobs Online at https://academicprogramsonline.org/ajo/prize/28680 
 
 The required application materials are: 
 
 • Three letters of support from scientists who are not themselves eligible for the prize, with at least one employed at an institution other than the nominee’s. The letters should address the nominee’s scientific accomplishments, promise, and ability to communicate effectively. 
 
 • CV, including a list of publications. 
 
 • An outline of the 2 technical talks and the colloquium talk.
