Superconductors which have high critical temperatures and critical magnetic fields. The effect of radiation damage produced by energetic electrons and protons on their properties. Such damage produces dramatic deterioration in the superconducting properties, and has implications for the use of these superconductors in nuclear fusion generators. The results may be interpretable in terms of changes in the atomic order and properties of these materials.
